Join Us For The 13th Annual Hockey Tournament & Winter Festival - January 26-28, 2024

If need be the Postponement Date would be scheduled during March 2024 indoors at the Douglas N. Everett Arena.

The 1883 Black Ice Pond Hockey Championship and Festival has become one of the largest outdoor winter event in New Hampshire.  The event hosts 95 teams and close to 700 hockey players that participate in the Black Ice.  The event also provides a wide array of family activities which include interactive games, rock wall, bonfires, live entertainment, fireworks, food trucks and ice and snow sculptures.  The event will also include youth hockey teams from New Hampshire playing in the Shinny Classic.  The Black Ice’s mission is to maintain and expand ice skating and recreational opportunities while preserving hockey history and creating new interest for the game we love.

If Mother Nature does not cooperate with us this year in January, a postponement date will be selected.  If need be, the postponement date would be scheduled in March, 2024, indoors at the Douglas N. Everett Arena.

$700 per team

White Park in Concord, NH (at the intersection of White St. & Washington St.) Please note White Street is closed between Washington and Blanchard Street.

Registration Deadline

Registration for the Annual Pond Hockey Championships opens September 1st for returning teams. All teams must register by December 1st.

Additional Info

Food Trucks will be on site to provide food and drink during the event. There will be a shuttle bus running during game times to multiple downtown restaurants to the remote parking locations. There will also be discounts and special promotions available for hockey players at these establishments.

Parking & Shuttle Service

Park legally on the streets surrounding white park and in White Park parking lot off of White Street.  We have the ability to use the UNH Law parking (on Washington St. and the Concord High Parking lot on Warren Street Saturday and Sunday ONLY.) 

The Concord Area Transit will run a predetermined shuttle route on Saturday, January 28th from 11:00AM to 8:00PM that will include stops at White Park and many downtown Winterfest locations.
